ABSTRACT
The main relationships investigated in this research were those among socio-economic and demographic characteristics of rural household, recent change in food consumption, current food consumption, subjective well-being, as assessed by the household’s rating of its food situation and the level of satisfaction with food situation. The conceptual model of the household’s satisfaction within food domain was supported empirically. With the household characteristics controlled, in rural households there is a causal relationship between the report of recent change in the household’s food situation, objective well-being and the satisfaction of the household’s food situation.
