ABSTRACT
In the last fattening period of 24 Black-and-White young bulls, energy value in ration was decreased to 80% of the maintenance requirement. The effect of reducing the energy level of a diet on some microstructure traits was investigated.
The study demonstrated the smallest proportion of connective and intramuscular fat tissue in muscle of bulls fattened a diet with a lower energy value, however these differences were not statistically significant.
The histopathlogical analysis showed the presence of only single giant fibers. Moreover in two individuals it showed the presence of single fibers with sarcocystis, but these changes did not affect meet quality.
