Cereal grain and mixed meal samples were collected for analyses in two periods: 1st-from harvest to the end of 1996 and 2nd- from June to August 1997. The content of mould, toxicogenic fungi and ochratoxin A (OA) was determined by immunoassay (ELISA) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In the 1 st period, when OA level ranged from 0.05 to 2.02 μg/kg, the correlations of results obtained by the two methods were low (r=0.047 for cereals and r=0.170 for mixed meals).
