In Memory of Prof. Marian Naczk (1946-2013)
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Prof. Marian Naczk on December 9, 2013.
Prof. Naczk was not only an active reviewer as Member of PJFNS Advisory Board (2011-2013), but also a true friend of the Journal, always involved and helping with advice.
Prof. Naczk was born in Wejherowo in 1946, Poland, where he received all his education including a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Gdansk.
He joined the faculty of St. Francis Xavier University in 1989 where he was actively involved in teaching and research in human research area. Prior to joining St. FX he worked at various universities within Canada and the United States.
Prof. Naczk was a man of many talents and abilities. He was equally at home in the lecture hall as he was in his garden; presenting a paper at an international conference or enjoying a glass of wine with his friends; baking the best cake in town or writing over a hundred research articles; cracking a joke or working in his laboratory. Despite his remarkable achievements he remained an unassuming and humble man, always willing to give a helping hand.
Prof. Naczk will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends and PJFNS staff.
